This Ventura Pons' last movie, based on one of the worse Leavitt's novels, 'The page turner', is a beautiful glance to youth, ambition, dreams and power. I liked to see Leavitt's universe, that I remembered from my first contacts with gay literature, and to remember myself as a young boy who wanted to be a writer. An ambitious young boy, as the main character of this story.
Sometimes the film version is much better than the literary original. This is one of those times.
